And when you start looking at some of the numbers Paul Farrah has piled up the last 10 football seasons at Louisville High School, the truth of them can be downright staggering.
• A 94-26 record, best in Stark County.
• Twenty-three playoff wins, second in Stark County.
• Four 10-0 regular seasons.
• Two Associated Press Division II poll titles.
• One state finals appearance.
It’s for these reasons and for the continued success of the Leopards’ program that Paul Farrah is The Repository Stark County Coach of the Decade.
He credited his players and assistants for setting the bar high every year.
“We have great tradition,” Farrah said. “We have kids who will do anything it takes to win.
“My coaches have stayed for the most part intact, and they work harder than anybody there is to put a winning team on the field.”
A 1984 Louisville High School graduate, Farrah knows the expectations that come with being the Leopards’ head coach.
The result is a program expected to contend for a league title and make a playoff run every year.
“Our fans want a winning tradition,” Farrah said. “The guys and myself have tried to come through on the expectations.”
