Conley, Kempt, Miles, Sharp, Groff, Peyakov and Mutschelknaus selected to North-South Classic

Three Stark County players signing next week with BCS schools highlight the area players selected to play in the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association North-South Classic this spring in Dayton.

The Massillon duo of quarterback Kyle Kempt and receiver Gareon Conley will be counted on to make plays for the North in the Division I-II-III game. McKinley defensive end Antoine Miles will anchor the North defense in that game.

Kempt committed to Oregon State over the weekend. Conley is headed to Ohio State and Miles plans to sign with Purdue. Signing day is Feb. 6.

West Branch offensive lineman Connor Sharp also will play for the North in the Division I-II-III game.

Selected to the North for the Division IV-V-VI game are Manchester quarterback Nick Peyakov and Sandy Valley linebacker-defensive back Sam Groff.

Playing for the South in Division IV-V-VI is Garaway linebacker Kellen Mutschelknaus.

The North-South Classic will feature two games April 27 at Welcome Stadium in Dayton. The kickoff times have yet to be announced.
