CANTON Erick Howard rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in the fourth quarter, as Hoover rallied for a 13-10 win over Twinsburg in the Division I regional semifinals.
Hoover’s defense also came up big in the game at Fawcett Stadium. The Vikings intercepted three passes and recovered a fumble.
The Vikings (11-1) advance to the regional finals for the second straight year.
The win also set up a Federal League rematch, as GlenOak and Hoover meet in the regional finals next Saturday at a site to be determined Sunday.
Hoover beat GlenOak, 14-10, in Week 9 at North Canton Memorial Stadium.
