NORTH CANTON The Vikings controlled the ball most the game, allowing GlenOak to run just nine total plays in the second half as Hoover held on to defeat the Golden Eagles and clinch at least a share of the Federal League title.
GlenOak got on the board first with a 2-yard touchdown run by DeWuan Spencer in the first quarter to make it 7-0. Hoover then tied the game up in the second quarter after quarterback Brett Tulodzieski found A.J. Sarbaugh for a 56-yard TD reception.
The Eagles took a 10-7 lead at halftime on a 25-yard field goal by Adam Lautzenheiser.
