MASSILLON Robert Partridge threw four touchdown passes for Massillon as the Tigers beat Buchtel in both teams' season opener.
Partridge was 14-of-18 passing for 167 yards with no interceptions. Devin Smith caught two of Partridge's touchdown passes.
Jacar Roberson also caught a touchdown pass from Partridge and had a 24-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Roberson left the game with an arm injury. His arm was seen in a sling on the sideline. He will need an X-ray today.
Aaron Robey also scored for Massillon on a 25-yard interception return.
The Massillon defense forced six turnovers, including two fumbles on Buchtel's first three offensive plays. Three of Buchtel's turnovers came inside their own 30-yard line.
Buchtel also had 187 penalty yards.
